HOW to CONSIGN

That’s why we are the top buyers for consignment apparel in San Francisco and personally select the best-quality clothing. Whether you have something you’ve never worn or haven’t worn in a long time, bring it in to us to be evaluated for consignment.

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Quality fabrics, stylish cuts, contemporary high-end designers, dress shirts, sweaters, tank tops, t-shirts, jeans, coats, jackets, suits, tuxedos, pants, leather and suede pieces, shoes, belts, bags, wallets, accessories, etc.

 

How to consign:

 

  • Appointments are required for consignment and are only scheduled on weekdays. To set an appointment call 415-437-2231.
  • Bring in clothing that is in excellent condition. No holes or stains. Garments should be washed or dry-cleaned.
  • Our experienced staff will carefully review your items and decide if they are a good fit for our unique store, following up with a detailed e-mail categorizing each item and its price.
  • First time consignors must bring in at least $300 of sales-worthy merchandise.

  • Our organized operation and communication systems ensure that the process runs smoothly for you as a consignor.
  • All active consignors with a balance receive an additional 10% of value when shopping.  If a purchase is under their current balance, consignors receive 10% off the merchandise.  If a purchase is higher than their current balance, they receive 10% more on their credit to apply toward the purchase.

 

Terms and Conditions:

 

  • CONSIGNMENT PERIOD IS A MIN 4 MONTHS to 5 MONTHS MAX (Price reductions may occur at monthly intervals 20%, 30%, 50% at our discretion)
  • Any item found to have a defect that was not called to our attention or found at the time of drop off will be removed from the sales floor without notice.
  • Checks are mailed on the 13th of the month for items sold in the previous month.  In-store cash payments are only available for balances under $75.  There is a $1 check fee for payments processed and sent.
  • Your pickup date will be decided during your appointment. It is your responsibility to contact us on or before that date. Goods become property of Sui GENERIS 5 days after the consignment period ends.
  • We require seven days notice to reclaim items.
  • Sui GENERIS is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage.
