Back to Work

When going back to work- you want to wear of causal appropriate attire that will go with whatever your work maybe- but time after time. You don’t want to be wearing the same things over and over. That wouldn’t be so cute. But on the other hand this doesn’t mean you have to get an entire new wardrobe.

This can mean just a few minor tweaks such as a couple new jackets, blazers, sweaters and of course accessories of the sort. It can be done in a manner where you don’t have spend thousands and or feel the pressures as well in the high end department stores or shops. So here are some suggestions as to what you can wear on your days back at work..

You can have your dressy days

Tip of the week -Match your Belt

Q- True OR False- should you always match your belt with your shoes when wearing a suit?

A- Trick question actually. It’s both- when wearing a belt you should match your belt with your shoes- but if you’re sporting a more casual gear (jeans, t-shirt, etc.) and you’re a confident dresser then you should sport wearing a belt that doesn’t necessarily “go.” with your footwear.

When it comes to weddings you want to be able to formulate an appropriate outfit that can be function-dressy and comfortable. You know you will be hanging out for a while- whether it be inside or outside you want comfort to be a vital key but at the same time you want to look good.

This is simple, great ways to do this just to mix and match one’s outfits. Something old with something new. You don’t always have to go out and buy something new just for a wedding it can be as easy as buying new accessories- socks, tie, bow-tie things in this nature. And for those who don’t want to wear suits- luckily there is an alternative- you an always look sharp in black dress pants or black khakis a white button-down and of course a sports coat.

Cashmere -Tip of the week-

Have you ever wondered what makes cashmere so special? If you didn’t know already- cashmere comes from goat ( magical goats) in a way that most of these goats live in areas surrounding the Gobi desert and grow extremely fine hair underneath their coarse outer coats. It can take up to four goats to to grow enough cashmere for one cashmere sweater.

This is why cashmere has always been considered to be one of the finer fibers out there. You can also tell the difference between the “finer” cashmere themselves because cashmere can range from $100-1,000. The longer the fiber ( which takes longer to grow) the finer the fiber and therefore it can be more expensive for this kind of quality- hence the price difference.

Suede is back

When it comes to the transition period as to when summer is coming to an end you have to start preparing yourself with your heavier jackets and your darker colors for fall. This just means when you are in search of the right jacket such as leather or suede you want them to be fitted because you have to remember when you first purchase your jacket it will be a little snug but after a while using these jackets they tend to stretch out as you wear them in. Just a little side note. But for the most part these jackets are kind of an essential to the closet. You must own at least one black leather jacket and a suede jacket.

Brogues -Tip of the week-

Origin of Button-Down -Tip of the week-

You wouldn’t happen to know when the first button down shirt was introduced and who introduced the button down shirt the American men? It happened to be sometime around the 1900s when Brooks Brothers introduced the first button shirts because the English Polo Players fastened their collars down to keep them from flapping in the wind. This was the inspiration for the button down shirts.
